Oh, yeah. I have a Tumblr. I've had it three years today, actually, but it's only been in the past month or so that I've actually started using it now that a lot of other people are, as well. So feel free to friend/follow me, whatever the hell it is on there, and let me know who you are, too! I post a lot of TVD, Twilight and whatever else strikes my funny bone.

OH! My mom won a blu-ray set of the new Lord of the Rings release and since she doesn't have a BRD player she sent them to me! I watched the first one tonight, first time in a while. I've forgotten how long those movies are. Oy.

today has been a good day

And I'm being totally honest about that.

Words can't describe what a change today is from last week, even though it wasn't even THAT good. I mean, in comparison it was amazing but seriously, so much beter.

Got my schedule for the part time job and I heart it through April. It's just enough for me and I have some variety and it's awesome. Plus? I'm not working tonight, which is AWESOME as I haven't had a Monday off, aside from being sick, since October.

I'm still enamoured of my new hotass purse. ( Have I showed you my new hotass purse? )

I have a new layout. I don't know how long I'll keep it because it might be too light for me but I've been looking at it for a few months now and I finally got up the ... gumption, I guess, to change things.

And I wrote something last night. I'd set the sleep mode on my tv and was drifting off when this image hit me and I immediately got up, turned on the light and scrambled for a pen. I haven't felt the urge to write ANYTHING, let along like THAT, in MONTHS. Today I feel like a new person.

I can't say it's good or anything but I'm going to type it up and try to post it tonight. It's for The Vampire Diaries and I have no fucking idea where it came from but I just love that I wrote something and finished it and it wasn't forced. For anyone who's ever gone through an extended period of writer's block and felt helpless and like it was gone forever knows the relief I feel. Today I don't even feel tired even though I didn't get the sleep I should have. SO HAPPY.

I'm not really ready to leave tomorrow but I don't have much choice. I hope that tomorrow I'll find out if I got approved for the place or not. I really, really, really want this, you guys, so if you could maybe think good thoughts for my finances starting now, that would be great. I'll be okay if it doesn't work out but I'll be bummed and this place really is seriously perfect for me.

So we'll see.

Because I'll be in Denver on Thursday with [livejournal.com profile] lostt1 and [livejournal.com profile] __tiana__ I likely won't be capping the episode until sometime next week. I get back Monday but it'll be in the evening and then Thursday I'll be sleeping, doing laundry and working at my other job. Joy.

I had to run out to get some things to take with me and, of course, as soon as I got in the car the sky went all funny and by the time I got to Walmart there was a HUGE wind and some rain and I wouldn't be surprised if there's the potential for a tornado watch. I'm still picking sand and dirt out of my hair.

Jesus, you guys. It's Octbver! When did that happen?! Last week we were in 30+ degree weather, now we're at... 2. :( LAME! I miss being warm!

I'm leaving for Wincon in a week but the closer I get the more I realize I shouldn't be going. I obviously didn't know when I made the plans back in January that my priorities would change so quickly. But the money is spent and I want to have fun, so here we go!

No review because I just don't have time but WHY AREN'T MORE PEOPLE WATCHING THIS?! It's getting good! I wish they wouldn't rely on the old characters quite so much but it acts as a bridge between the old and new so whatever. But still.

I didn't post the Gossip Girl caps from last week but I had to re-cap anyway because the ones I got were totally not what I wanted. So I have two weeks worth of caps. I only anticipate this continuing until a) I lose interest in the show ( B) spoiler ) or c) I start my new job since I'll be working Monday-Wednesday after my grownup job.

Oh, and more on the job/money front, there's some woman my desk buddy's been corresponding with who will hopefully email an ad into us tomorrow regarding getting paid $14/hr to do some calling at home for Heart & Stroke canvassers or some shit. I don't even know. For $14/hr I'll make all the calls you want.

So many shows, so little time. Everything feels far more rushed than it really is because I have weird hours at work (well, from now on every week my hours are weird, honestly, but going in 2 hours later than normal just throws me) and I have appointments and dinner dates coming in the next couple of days. Physio and massage and I should book an appointment with my optometrist and I think I have a doctor's appointment coming and UGH.

Did you all know it's MID-SEPTEMBER?! Jesus christ! WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?!

I bought yellow nail polish today. That makes it all better. I'm going to wait for my gel nails to grow out a bit more before I attempt to take them off (my nail lady soaks and then pulls the existing nail off, rather than dremel them so I'm just going to do it myself) and then I'll try out this new yellow polish. Small things, small minds.

Oh, so many shows on right now. I tuned in for One Tree Hill (why, oh why?) and Gossip Girl (once again it has sucked me in). I'll be posting caps for Gossip Girl soon (but it's not going to be a weekly thing. I just really wanted caps from the episode) and I have the Melrose Place caps ready to go but I might wait and post them tomorrow or the next day with the caps from tomorrow's ep.

So now we've reached the end of our season 2 journey with True Blood. I have to say, I'm kind of glad it's over. I always get that way at the end of the season because I need some time to reflect on everything that's happened, formulate some theories, put pieces together and get excited for it again. So, see you in a year, I guess?
