I was thinking, well, okay. I'll keep going and see what happens. By the last book I was gritting my teeth and saying, OKAY S.MEY. TIME TO MAN UP. DON'T MAKE ME REGRET THE TIME I SPENT READING THE FIRST THREE, MMKAY?
What is it about vampire series? They usually start out awesome, and then somehow get way too weird/overblown/big for their own boots.
Case in point: Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series, and (of course), Anne freakin' Rice. *SIGH*
