Actually it's based on a Polish movie "Blind Chance" by Kieslowski in which a guy runs after a train and we witness 3 variations of his life depending on him catching the train or not. The movie has a much more political aspect though it does include "romantic comedy" with the guy missing the train and meeting his dream girl. I highly recommend it :)
