summer_skinOkay. Finished my last shift at the part time job tonight. At least until the new year. My life is just too hectic right now with my full time job and I was only working one shift a week, which someone else could use and the scheduling would be easier. Also, because the PT job is going to get way more hectic, as well, they needed me to work more shifts if I wanted to stay on so it was way better for me to leave. But my supervisor said that maybe in the new year, depending on how things go with their Christmas temps and whatnot, that I could come back. We'll see what happens, I guess.
I haven't heard anything about Grace yet. I think I'll call tomorrow and ask what's up. Because everyone's sure I'm getting her but I haven't had a call to make an appointment for the home visit before I can get her. Maybe they want to wait until I get settled in and unpacked but I want Grace ASAP, if I can get her. As long as I get my bedroom set up and the tub scrubbed I want her. I just need to get some litter and food at this point. I have the box and dishes for food and water and toys. *GLEE*
I've been watching a few of the new shows this season. I've given Hawaii 5-0 a chance and thought it was okay. I like Scott Caan and think he's hot. It's weird to see him in the role of the more by-the-book character, though. You'd think he and Alex would have changed roles, LOL. Don't know if I'll stick with it over time but we'll see. I initially liked Chase, although it's another show I don't know if I'll stay with. It's on pretty late and although I'm usually awake through when it's on there are going to be times I just want to sleep. And once I stop watching a show like that I tend to drift away, even though the basic storyline is the same in each episode. But since the characters and stories are so generic it's sometimes hard to keep on top of things, I find. Because you get bored. Maybe it's just me.
Right now I'm trying out Law and Order: LA and it's okay, I guess. I like Skeet and I like the L&O format. I didn't watch the original series very often so I'm not broken up that it was cancelled. If they cancelled SVU I might cut a bitch, though.
I think that's pretty much everything new I'm watching. Aside from, of course, Hellcats!
I am so susprised at how much I'm enjoying this show. At first I thought it wouldn't really be something I'd like, that Marti was going to be a sterotypical rebel and Savannah the bitchy, perfect leader. Instead the characters are truly supportive and, although the storylines are a bit stretched, I like everyone's interaction.
Well, except for Alice. I still remain baffled at why no one's smacked that bitch on her ass yet. I realize there's something to her needing Daddy's attention and probably to her even being there since she's a cheerleader, etc, etc (whatever she was referencing when she was talking to Louis) but it doesn't make me like her. It's a bit too little, too late. Because she's still a manipulative bitch and I don't believe she "loves" Louis. I don't buy that at all. I'd believe that she's really doing all this, including playing with Louis, because she wants Savannah's spot, but that's it. I kind of want some backstory or a flashback to when Savannah showed up and snatched the captainship from Alice. If there'd been more to her all along, little hints at more to her story I might have been a bit more intrigued but at this point I'm just frustrated at the lack of someone trying to confront her because of the waves she's making. I don't know why Marti, who was all up in Savannah's grill the first time she met her, hasn't said SOMETHING to Alice. And I don't know why Vanessa isn't taking the situation with the drugs more seriously. I understand wanting to give her the benefit of the doubt but if Alice can't even get her spot back anyway why wouldn't she pull her off active duty until she could prove she was clean? Slippery slope.
But that's just Alice. I don't think the writing is fleshed out enough to prove one way or another who she is. Because I think I'd LIKE to believe that she's just insecure and NOT a bitch to the core but until I get more than a basic throw away reference to something involving her father and some other, as yet unspoken issues, I'd on the side of bitch.
I did, however, love Savannah and Dan Patch in this episode. It can only end in heartbreak, I'm sure, because a happy couple can never stay happy for long, but they are simply adorable together.
I was also really interested by Savannah's scenes with her parents and how that came about. Her mom and sister are the WORST! What bitches! (using that word a lot this review!)
I hope Louis can get himself sorted out because I'd like to see him A) tell Alice where to go and B) go out with Marti because they'd be hot together.
I didn't even realize until the end of the episode that Gale wasn't in it. That really says something! I'm looking forward to seeing him again, though.
This show is so cheesy (Marti singing, of course) but I love it! It's quickly becoming one of my fave shows right now!

It seems that the other members of the Hellcats are interchangable, Wedgerman was introed in the first episode as if she was going to be a minor character but I couldn't even tell if that was her that tested Alice's wrist last week.
I hope Savannah's relationship with her sister develops beyong this bitchery. I'm sure she was really hurt when Savannah transferred and that will come out or something along those lines.
