Okay. Finished my last shift at the part time job tonight. At least until the new year. My life is just too hectic right now with my full time job and I was only working one shift a week, which someone else could use and the scheduling would be easier. Also, because the PT job is going to get way more hectic, as well, they needed me to work more shifts if I wanted to stay on so it was way better for me to leave. But my supervisor said that maybe in the new year, depending on how things go with their Christmas temps and whatnot, that I could come back. We'll see what happens, I guess.

I haven't heard anything about Grace yet. I think I'll call tomorrow and ask what's up. Because everyone's sure I'm getting her but I haven't had a call to make an appointment for the home visit before I can get her. Maybe they want to wait until I get settled in and unpacked but I want Grace ASAP, if I can get her. As long as I get my bedroom set up and the tub scrubbed I want her. I just need to get some litter and food at this point. I have the box and dishes for food and water and toys. *GLEE*

I've been watching a few of the new shows this season. I've given Hawaii 5-0 a chance and thought it was okay. I like Scott Caan and think he's hot. It's weird to see him in the role of the more by-the-book character, though. You'd think he and Alex would have changed roles, LOL. Don't know if I'll stick with it over time but we'll see. I initially liked Chase, although it's another show I don't know if I'll stay with. It's on pretty late and although I'm usually awake through when it's on there are going to be times I just want to sleep. And once I stop watching a show like that I tend to drift away, even though the basic storyline is the same in each episode. But since the characters and stories are so generic it's sometimes hard to keep on top of things, I find. Because you get bored. Maybe it's just me.

Right now I'm trying out Law and Order: LA and it's okay, I guess. I like Skeet and I like the L&O format. I didn't watch the original series very often so I'm not broken up that it was cancelled. If they cancelled SVU I might cut a bitch, though.

I think that's pretty much everything new I'm watching. Aside from, of course, Hellcats!

Caps: The Vampire Diaries 204 "Memory Lane" (1239), 1280x720, review & picspam

So. I bought a bed. I bought it a few weeks ago. It's a queen size. The mattress fit down the stairs. The box spring... not so much. I REFUSE TO LET IT BEAT ME!!!! So I don't quite know what's going to happen but I'm pretty sure my uncle's going to break it down somehow and air nail it back together once we get it in the apartment.

Jesus Christ, you guys.

I think I did something to my foot, too. I don't think I'd go so far as to say it's a stress fracture but it hurts around the ankle and through the bottom of my foot and it's a bit swollen. What did I do to it? Your guess is as good as mine.

I just hope the move goes quick and smooth tomorrow. I don't really have a clear game plan as yet but as long as I get my bed and tv/internet hooked up I'm happy. The actual unpacking won't take too long, I don't think. It's just a matter of getting everything moved right now. Thank god I was able to do a lot of it already. Still need to pick up the microwave, get a small stool (I'm so short I can't even reach the top shelf in my bedroom or bathroom closet), get a new drain tray for the sink (some things I can use again but I don't know who had the one that was left behind and it feels weird) and perhaps some new extension cords or power bars. There's no outlet in the bathroom so I don't quite know what I'm going to do there. Maybe run a long extension cord in from my bedroom so I can actually DO stuff in the bathroom.
