Hokay. So if any of you are like me you've spent a lot of the day re-playing the opening from last night's episode. I loved it. The music, the clips- everything. As someone said in chat last night- some person got paid to basically make a fanvid.

So I fired up Windows Movie Maker (something I should never be allowed to do in any creative instance because I suck at vidding) and clipped the opening, pieced it together and uploaded it for everyone who may be play >> stop >> playing the first 1:20 of the episode over and over (although I may be the only spazz doing that...). The file is a .wmv so quality isn't as good as the .avi, obviously, but it's good enough and the aspect ratio isn't fucked up so 200t!

If you've seen all episodes up to "Salvation" the opening isn't spoilery at all. It's a recap of the entire season set to KANSAS. How awesome is that? Anyhoo.

Right click, save as (zipped file, 5.27MB)

I loved that opening soooo much. Seriously, if anyone had any doubts about a)Supernatural as a whole and b) the way in which they choose music. Just show em that and doubts will be banished.

I cannot even tell you how loudly I squealed when I heard the opening notes. Like. That song reminds me of my Daddy, and for it to be all images of the boys and their Papa and the way the lyrics matched up with the action and then ended with Sam, cut to Dean, cut to Papa, fullstop. I may or may not have just watched the Previousies three times before even getting to the show.

Also, I am nabbing the song, because for some reason, I can never ever find a good copy of it for downloading. HONESTLY.
