I feel VERY accomplished right now. VERY.

Last night I FINALLY posted the new application post at good_snicons here. I've also opened an application post for mods here. If you're interested take a gander, read through the obligations (really, they're very little once you get used to the comm) and apply, mmkay? I've also started a comm for the mods and I'm thinking of posting some sort of resource/tutorial post or something for there? All the icon resource comms I can think of as well as as many GOOD SPN icon tutorials that I can find. icon_tutorial is great if you're just starting out and wanting to figure out how to do some basic tricks and everything but there's only so many selective colouring tutorials you can see in a row before your brains leak out of your head.

Also, would it be wanky to compile a post, of sorts, explaining what the mods are looking for in applications and how we base our decisions?

I'm also working on my second meta (on folklore) for spn_resource but I'm having a little trouble pinpointing exactly what I want to write it on. Any ideas?

I've heard the latest spoilers for Doctor Who season 4 and I'm kinda really okay with it. I'm excited, even.

AND AND AND. I'm working on an Edward/Bella fanmix for the Twilight series. I want to read (good) fic and I'm tempted with trying to come up with writing something. I don't know if I'm behind that Browning girl being the ideal Bella. There's just something about her that irks me a little, although she's growing on me. I'm kinda behind Amber Tamblyn being her but there's something about her voice I don't really like. I think I'd rather go find someone totally anonymous and use her as my vision. Same with Edward although the french guy isn't bad, I guess. I dunno.

And now I think it's time for bed. It was 32 C or something stupid here today. I LOVE IT! It's not a humid heat like at home so I'm as happy as a pig in shit. It's supposed to get upwards of 38 this week! *flails*

Dude, I would LOVE a compilation of SPN icon tutorials. I've tried a lot of tecniques that are used on other tutorials, but since SPN's lighting is so much different than other shows, it just doesn't look right. :\

A compilation of SPN icon tutorials would rock! I can never use tutorials from other shows because as the above poster said - the lighting on SPN is so different. So I vote yes! :)

And I don't think it would be wanky at all to compile a post saying what the mods are looking for. If anything, I think that would help a lot of icon makers.

I like this tutorial (http://community.livejournal.com/icon_reich/17399.html) on coloring Supernatural caps by emily_reich. It uses selective coloring (which means it's useless for me since I use PSP) but the result is appropriate for the show which is imporant, I think. :)

Haha, yeah I don't think you should make such a post of what to look for. You could perhaps ask them to judge like an icon or something? I don't know. I was thinking of singing up for the mod-thing, but I also didn't get in yet ;) Plus I always talk way too much which means it takes up like forever for me to look at a few applications (I mod at good_cropping).

Wow, 32/38 degrees? That sounds so hot! But if it's not that humid, it doesn't have to be so bad, I guess. I hope you get to enjoy it ;)

Seriously, is there good Twilight fic lurking out there somewhere? I'm afraid to even look because of the *mountains* of badfic I fear I'd have to sift through.
