01) I re-did my user info last night, FINALLY, since I changed my layout, too. I can't even remember how long I'd had the old one but I hated it. Check it out.

02) I've been friended by a glut of people in the past couple days (a GLUT, I tell you!). Welcome, enjoy. Hope you're not too bored, LOL.

03) I'm gonna make myself a damn quiche today. I've never made one. I've only eaten quiche like- twice in my life but for some reason I was sitting here on the computer and said- self, you're hungry. Make a quiche. So I will.

04) Gossip Girl finale tonight. Anyone else gunning for Serena and Chuck to get caught making out in a coat closet? Anyone? No? Just me? Okay, then.

05) I don't know who holds the damn egg timer for SPN fandom but I wish they'd get rid of it. 'Oh, we're on hiatus? DING! Fandom's done!' I already commented with my thoughts on the matter of this thing when it reared its ugly head around 3.09 here. This time I can't work up the energy or the concern to post anything more about it. As it is I'm going to re-evaluate my happy places in fandom over the summer and look at stressors, what inspires me to get involved and the people around me. That sounds more ominous than it really is, and a lot of this is left-over school panic stuff affecting me but I've already made some minor changes and I'm way happier with fandom since then. I'm going to do what I can to stay in love with this show, the characters and the parts of fandom I want around me.

06) My Big Bang posting date is June 25! I'm excited just to have the extra time to edit it. To be totally honest, I haven't looked at it since last Monday. I was planning on bearing down and working like mad over the next week. But now I have a whole MONTH to procrastinate.

Um... that's not a good thing to say, right? I'll start working on it, I swear. I have a sticky on my computer and everything!

Also re: 5, I'm ignoring all the folk who are complaining about fandom/creating wank/stirring the shit etc. etc. Otherwise, I think I'd go crazy within about 2 hours. :D

I don't find it so bad now that I've gotten past the first few episodes that were total duds. Dan is SO BORING though I can't WAIT for he and Serena to break up for good. God, I hope it happens soon.

And re: #5, I'm new to the fandom so wank still intrigues me to a certain degree (in the sense that I'm fascinated by the teal deer over a tv show), but then no, not if you look at it too close, then it just spoils the fun. :)

Wank is always more fun from afar. Even the occasional SPN wank can be interesting but it seems like we're CONSTANTLY in flux. And yes, looking at it too closely CAN spoil the fun. I've been in fandoms before where there was so much pointing out of flaws and this and that and constant bickering back and forth that by the end of it I was like- DAMN! My show sucks! So I'm trying my hardest to ENJOY the show. It's entertainment!

On Gossip Girl... man, if only that had happened. I don't know if it was just me, but it seemed like the finale was lacking in a little bit of... oomph? Not dramatic enough for my liking, I guess. ;) And several of the new couples, revealed for the summer? Meh. *shrugs* Ah well, still had some entertaining parts.

At the moment, I'm sleeping over on some other fandoms' couches while SPN and its various fan factions have it out.

I liked it pretty well! There certainly weren't any explosions or anything to keep us on our toes but I enjoyed it okay. Sort of anti-climactic but I'm okay with that.

At the moment, I'm sleeping over on some other fandoms' couches while SPN and its various fan factions have it out.

OMG, I know, right? I'm planning on checking out the GG fandom over the summer, seeing if I can find an area I'm comfortable in (cause right now I get annoyed with certain aspects/groups) and I've even pondered the idea of returning to the Lost fandom, even though I stopped watching in s2. :| :|
