I've had quite the headache for almost 12 hours now, probably the worst I've had in quite a while. I can't tell if it's because of the slight coughing I had today or what. Yesterday I was coughing so badly that I could feel as an ache in my back and abdomen, so that's always fun. Hopefully a good night's rest is all I need.

The Friday night, bad-SPN-related-movie marathon continues tomorrow night with House of Wax. I don't care what you say, HoW totally trumps Cry_Wolf. I mean, come on! Paris Hilton gets the shaft! ... That was the oldest joke ever, right?

Okay. Okayokayokay. I GIVE!

New!Ruby can stay. She still has a funny mouth and Old!Ruby's hair was WAY better, though. And if Katie Cassidy could return in any way I'd be say sayanara to the new one in a heart beat.

Unfortunately I was spoiled for the sexin' between Sam and Ruby THIS MORNING but I wasn't sure if it was going to be tonight or next week so I was a bit off guard, although with the slight wave of new Sam/Ruby stuff and some whispers I've seen and barely registered for this week's episode I managed to clue in and knew it would probably be for tonight's episode.

Didn't make it any less hot, though. It was truly dirtybadwrong. When Sam was doing his 'woe is me' act right before that and Ruby was standing next to him I was like- whoa, size differential. I mean, Jared was sitting down, hunched over and Ruby was STANDING next to him and they were equal. And Jared's head/shoulders were bigger than all of Genivevewhatever's whole body, it seemed. In-sane.

When Dean asked if Sam could skip the nudity portion of his story part of me went, "noooo!" and part of me went, "he's just angry that i it wasn't with him". The Wincest part of my brain totally isn't lost yet, whee!

The demons/angel, god/devil thing isn't shaping up as I thought it would. And with this episode I'm even impressed by it, which is something I haven't been able to say to this point. It's no secret that I haven't been appreciative of that aspect of the show this season. One, because I'm totally not religious in the least and, honestly, I get a bit lost when any information beyond the basic creation myth gets going. I'm religion-dumb, sue me. And two, because I don't like the idea of this show presenting an idea, especially a literal one of what "God" and the "Devil" actually are. If they never come to fruition and stay vaguely formed ideas, I'm okay with it, if a bit uncomfortable, but I'd MUCH rather see this whole thing play out between the demons and angels. Angels... I'm starting to be okay with, especially since they're quiet a bit more venegful than I thought they were going to be in the beginning.

If anything this episode will hopefully appease everyone who's been testy with the lack of Sam this season.

Back to the Ruby thing--the second Ruby they had, the interim one who saved Sam the first time, did anyone else think she was... cougar-ish? She looked far older than I'm sure the actress playing her really was. There was just something about her, I don't know. I'm glad that one didn't stick around, in comparison to Genewhatever (I just can't spell her name, really).

Thinking back on Old!Ruby and the way she interacted with both Sam and Dean, I think if I were to hardcore ship Dean/Ruby it would have to be with Old!Ruby. There was just something about the way they bounced off each other that was super hot. This Ruby seems far more suited to Sam, and not just because there's confirmation now that they've been boning. The new one just doesn't have the same reactions to Dean that Old!Ruby did, the fire.

So yeah, AWESOME episode, in my books. Especially since it made me like the new Ruby! That right there is an amazing success in itself. And I cannot WAIT until next week, even if it'll be murder to wait until January to find out what comes next.

I am a little miffed at myself that I didn't post a ficlet I wrote a couple nights ago about Ruby and how she joined back up with Sam after Dean's death. I got a bit Kripke'd.

Any particular reason why the new Crossroad Demon is male? Possibly because Sam wasted the last female one?

And this answered the question of why they couldn't just stab people in non-essential extremities to rid the demon from the bodies when Sam mentioned his mind thing saved more people than the knife.

I just couldn't help myself.

She kind of reminded me of the chick from "All Hell Breaks Loose Past 1" that doed via hanging from the windmill/water tower thingie. Lily?
