FINALLY!

I have an hour and 39 minutes to get a summary together and submit my Big Bang. It's fucking done. It's not perfect, not by a long shot, and I can see it reaching 30,000 once I start editing.

BUT IT'S FUCKING DONE!

Now. Betas? Any takers? More than one, preferably. I like having a couple different opinions. I need people who are willing to give crit on consistency, characterization, etc, etc. Someone who will (tenderly) tell me the truth. I know it's not perfect and I know Jared's kind of a girl but I need a fresh set of eyes to suggest ways to fix that or make him less... stupid about things.

But considering I'd started something totally different back in February or whenever, with a complete outline from start to finish and clearly defined sections, that I started and finished this since April 6th is rather amazing to me. And I don't feel any of the anger and defeat I did with last year's! Not as accomplished as 2007 but not as shitty as 2008. YAY!

Me too. Maybe not 10k but there will be quite a bit more. There are some scenes I want to put in that I just didn't bother even trying this week because I ran out of time. But I'll definitely need it.

I wrote Jared/Jensen. I always was but I changed my mind totally about the idea a few weeks ago. Back then I was like- I'm not going to get this done so I'll just plod along and see what happens. Even Monday of this week I was thinking I should just bow out because I couldn't get it done but I did! Whee!

Exactly. I left out a sixth or seventh part of my outline because I just didn't have time to write it all out. There were points in my outline that were optional on principle, but the last part was pretty much essential, and now I have to sit down and get it done.

I almost wrote something else entirely, too! I kept thinking that, if I'd lost an interest in the story I'd been planning, I might as well give something else a go. But the fact that I'd spent so much time planning and outlining and researching won by a landslide at the end.

And I can beta for you if you need an extra eye, either now or later (september.caramel @ gmail.com). I'm decent at pacing and consistency when I'm not doing them myself.

That would be awesome! I haven't started to work on the missing pieces yet so I'm hesitant to share it just yet. I think once the dates for when we can post go up I'll start editing (or maybe before, just not right now) and then I'll share it. I just don't want it to be confusing while I'm still adding things.

That would be great! I'm not quite ready to share it just yet since I still have at least three scenes left to add before it'll be FINISHED finished and i don't want it to be too confusing. But I should be starting that this week, I think, and then I'll be ready to go.
