Went to see the condo--sort of. See, the condos aren't actually built yet. The first showhome is eta'd at February or so. Possession date on the first phase of houses is estimated around March or April. I'm definitely going to check out my finances with their monies person and see what she says and what I can do. I have a few things working against me, like a student loan debt, and not having been at my grown up job for a long enough period on paper yet that it shows I DO make enough money. But the good thing is that I can wait for a second phase, if I want, or, depending on how things go, I could just wait for my tax return next March and go from there.

With some strong budgeting over the next few months (conventions and trips home and Christmas notwithstanding) I could save more than enough for my down payment which would make my subsidy through my monthly fees cheaper. ALSO. If I get a three bedroom (which is the cheapest, compared to the two bedroom--weird, eh?) I can rent out the other two bedrooms at about $450/m or so and that would be my mortgage payment. Even at $400 each it would be awesome.

It's kind of overwhelming for me right now, especially since I know NOTHING about finances and everything numbers goes over my head for the longest time before people really dumb it down for me. Also? This is a whim thing. I mean, I've thought about getting a place before but yesterday I seriously turned the page of the paper, saw the ad and was like--Hey, I think I want to buy this. I was like that about my car, too. Forever and ever I said I'd never own a car. Then one day I came home and announced I was getting a car. End of story.

ANYWAY. Enough babbling about that.



I didn't get to see this during the first hour it aired because I got called into work to fix something so that sucked. But I'm kind of glad because I was so distracted by other things happening around me during the first fifteen minutes I got to see.

This episode was pretty good. I haven't particularly missed Ellen or Jo and I certainly didn't expect them to bring Jo back at all but I'm okay that they did. It's also nice that they addressed that Ellen hasn't been in touch with the boys since she just disappeared off the face of the earth. Jo got a final goodbye and she wasn't even liked at first!

Beyond that this episode was good for me because of the Sam/Dean stuff, mainly. I wasn't particularly compelled by the storyline because it felt very "Croatoan" to me and that episode did it far better.

I'm not as .... I don't even know how to say it. Whenever the show does something I don't really like I don't get mad or anything but I get a bit of a scrunchy nose. I've felt very... scrunchy nose about the whole religion storyline since last season but now that they're introducing God as a character (if he/she appears I wonder who they could ever get to play them. Alanis again, a la Dogma? Nah, she's too busy on Weeds this season, I'm sure) I'm just riding the wave. And I kind of enjoyed the way they personalized the Four Horsemen. I wonder if this means we'll see the other three? I don't even know who/what they are so it'll be something to look forward to, if that's the case.

When Dean offered Sam the Impala did anyone else want him to shrug and go, "Yeah, okay," and drive away? Dean would have shit and I would have laughed my ass off.

I really wanted Sam and Dean to be on different sides at the end of last season, the ultimate good versus evil faceoff, but this is okay, too. It's obviously more sad but I'm looking forward to see what's going to happen. I wouldn't be upset if they were apart for a couple episodes, rather than only for the first 20 minutes of one. I know the relationship is what's important between them but I think them going their own ways for a bit would make their reunion and them that much stronger together and seperately.

I know it's wikipedia, but there are some interesting links and pictures here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Horsemen_of_the_Apocalypse) about the four horsemen that I think SPN fans should read up on since it's probably going to be a big thing this season.

The Horsemen: Pestilence (or Conquest), War, Famine, and Death. Each one rides a particular color horse. Pestilence (White), War (Red), Famine (Black), and Death (Pale Green or just Pale). That's why Dean made a big deal about War's cherry red Mustang.

It's interesting that Dean, who loves to eat, drives a black car named after a horse. Will Famine drive a competing black Impala? Will Dean see a car just like his baby parked next to him as he goes into a diner? What other cars are named after hoses. I mean there was the Pinto, but would a horseman want to to drive that. Well maybe Death, considering the Pinto's had a flaw that made them explode if rear-ended?

I think that the color of the cars will be more symbolic than the type of car. Perhaps they picked Mustang as the most easily identifiable sort of car that is associated with horses.

This episode was really great. Much better than the premiere if you ask me. I thought Croatoan was FAR MORE confusing than this one. At least this one had a clear villain and there was actual craziness - while Croatoan only hinted at it with the few people that got infected. *shrug* They're both good episodes though, so no contest. :)

And the more I think about it, the more I am on board with Sam and Dean being separated for awhile. *nods*

Yes "Croatoan"! A bell was ringing inside my head but I didn't know why. I didn't like "Croatoan" that much.. Thought "Good God, Y'all" was better because of the Red Horsemen. I'm curious to see the other three, especially when the Red is the second Horsemen to come, not the first - which is the Anti-Christ...

Me too! I feared a bit they could fail when trying to show us that kind of stuff (even though I loved they went that "angelic" way) but they pulled it off. So I think/hope if we get to actually see God, it will turn out okay :D
