summer_skinTGIF, man. I feel like I've been so busy this week but I haven't had any time to do the work I HAVE to get done. It doesn't help that I'm exhausted and I've been changing meds like mad these past couple weeks.
I went for a massage last night, first one in quite a while and the first with the massage therapist I had a couple years ago (yay! I found her again!) and HOLY SHIT. I FUCKING HURT. I would LOVE to have a relaxation massage one of these days but I don't think I can justify the cost when I need to have therapeutic done.
But oh, man. Those sessions shouldn't be called massage. They should be called like... extreme muscle tenderzing sessions. I could barely move when I got up. I'm sitting with a heat pad against my back, trying to get the muscles to relax a bit, then I think I'll put some cold on it to try to tamp down the inflamation.
My mom also learned a hard lesson tonight. Always back your shit up in more than one place! She's taking an office technology certificate course and she's doing Simply Accounting right now, I THINK (honestly I don't get her schedule or what they're doing or anything so I'm always lost when she's rambling on about her course, usually in a taking to herself kind of way so there's no explanation). She has this project due tomorrow that she'd finished, all 21 pages of it (I don't know if that's 21 pages of actual work to turn in or a project based on 21 pages) but when she was trying to zip it for submission somehow she DELETED everything.
Yeah. So she's upstairs in the kitchen right now and she's re-doing it all. She's kind of zipping through it because now she's got more of a grasp on it than she did the first time around and she's got about 13 pages done in two hours. It sucks but it's a lesson she's learned but good.
I want to see some The Secret Circle now!
Just when I think I couldn't give two flying fucks about Stefan and his maudlin self something kind of awesome happens to make me want to see more.
That being said the whole storyline kind of screams Angel to me so that makes me feel a little weird about it. Between Stefan wanting to be good but forcing himself to be bad for the love of a woman (and possibly? sinking back into that life completely) and the team of Klaus (Spike), the sister (Dru) and Stefan (Angel) it's all causing me flashbacks to Buffy and then Angel with the idea of redemption.
Interesting to see Katherine again but not because she just happened to pop up. I feel like I'm forgetting something about her and her obsession about Stefan because I don't get why she was in Chicago right now or back in the 20's. Klaus would have been looking for her then, right? Since he's been hunting her for 500 years and shit. Anyway, whatever.
I don't mind the new love interest for Stefan, although it's clear that now his memories are back there's going to be EVEN MORE internal struggle for himself because he'll remember loving Klaus' sister while he still pines his tiny little heart out for Elena. It's happy fun times all around.
I'm glad what I wanted to have happen last week with Caroline's situation totally played out that way. I'm also loving her mom knowing her secret. I'd be on board with a Mystic Falls original family gangland war happening over the ones who are dyed in the wool monster hunters versus the reformers. I totally wanted to see more of this storyline while the Stefan thing was playing out but I get why they couldn't and, really, more wouldn't have added to it. If anything her dad's attempt at salvation is just setting up some bigger stories for the season.
