Truer words were never spoken. If you met Jared or Sandy at a con or saw them in passing at a store or hell, even if you work with members of their families you don't know them personally. He's an actor and as an actor I like him. Beyond that, at this point, I DON'T CARE. And we have no right to know so much that we SHOULD care.

If it affects the way you see him as an actor and it affects the way you watch the show, that's fine, stop watching. But we'll NEVER know the whole truth as I highly doubt they're going to post about it to the internet beyond blanket, vague statements. I couldn't be more pleased about that, either. We're not owed anything beyond performances to the best of any actor's ability.

In other news, why does tomorrow have to be Sunday? It should be Saturday all over again. :(

Oh I like that. That's basically the same way I feel. I'm not interested in what happens in their personal life. Personally, all these people who are carrying on choosing sides, I don't get it. People break up, it happens all the time. The why/when/how/who doesn't matter and is nobody's business but their own.

It's already Sunday here BUT tomorrow is the Queen's Birthday holiday! So - woo! I am so against Australia becoming a republic. THINK OF THE HOLIDAYS.

I have to admit I'd like to know what happened, but at the same time I really hope they don't say anything about it. I really DON'T want to know. Personally, being in fandom, this kind of thing leaves a lot open for writing. I don't know if that sounds callous or not but if I don't know what really happened it doesn't change my view of the people involved and I can use the slight info I DO have to write my own ending.

When Britney was in her downward spiral I admit to being there every step of the way, watching the live feeds and all. It was addictive. But the more I heard the more boring and worn it all became. I'll never see her the same way or likely give her the benefit of the doubt. Sad, but true. I'd hate for that to happen to someone that's on my favourite show, you know?

I get your point, I do. I don't even want to know a lot about it, just some sort of... explanation, I guess. Not so much now, actually (two days after it's kind of blown over in my brain), but it came as a bit of a shock to me so I wanted to make some sense of that. To be honest, I don't really want to know if it makes Jared look bad, because I like liking Jared and, yeah. I know where you're coming from.

Oh, I didn't follow the Britney drama. It was kind of depressing and I wasn't really interested, and that's possibly why I still have a certain fondness for her. I mean, she was a part of my childhood, and she was cute in How I Met Your Mother, but I don't really care beyond that.

I couldn't agree more. All I care about is that Jared knocks it out of the park with his portrayal of Sam. His personal life, is his personal life. People's relationships fail for all sorts of reasons, and the only people it really affects is them (Well unless you're Henry VIII and you take the whole country with you). Obviously Sandy has given a classy and kind statement. I intend to respect the way she wants this portrayed. As to Jared, whatever happened, it's his business, not mine.

Exactly. And even if we did have the chance to know the details I wouldn't WANT to know because it changes how you see the people. Parts of fandom already backlashed on him when they THOUGHT he cheated. If there'd been confirmation... UGH. I prefer thinking of Jared in the j2 sense in my head. That's good enough for me.

I'm creeped out by the lot of it, especially with the back and forth on who has info and who doesn't, and who's been taunting with the info but not able to say anything. Any time there's any info from now on from "reliable sources" I'm gonna call bullshit and wait until Jared or Jensen says something in an interview or publically. Cause this is all fucking stupid.

I like being INVOLVED in fandom but at this point I don't know if I want to be on the receiving end anymore. :( Sad, but true.

You probably already heard but Jared confirmed it himself before anyone could have the chance to ask. Small blessings, I guess? I don't know any more beyond that, though.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the majority of fandom that liked her before all this turned their backs on her in a heartbeat. Not all will, of course, especially if they'll be branded something bad in doing so, but it'll probably happen.

You know, the only time I care about what an actor is doing is if it impacts whether they will or won't be on a show.

Katie Cassidy's arrest for underage drinking? Could impact if Ruby's on the show (if it were a pattern, which it wasn't). Christopher Eccleston's preemptive decision to only do a season of Who? Was a big thing. Actors deciding to come to, or leave, or making decisions that force either hand, with different shows -- like, for example, Milo Ventimiglia's former deal with Warner Brothers? That's something to think about.

I guess, if I were a RPF sort of person, Jared Padalecki's romantic situation would actually have an impact on my fannish experience (yet another good reason, for me personally, not to deal with RPF). But I'm not and a lot of the people who freak out about these things are not, and I'm with you. It matters how he plays the character. Who or what he is off screen means shit.

But, hey, I'm a veteran of Stargate -- where the actors mock their own popular characters and the construction of sci-fi television in general. I guess you grow a thick skin over there.
