Holy shit.
I missed all the bruhaha that went down today and I'm kinda glad I did.
The whole 'giving sexy fic to Misha' thing? Oh, fuck no. Why do we go through this every goddamn time there's a fucking convention? Is it so fucking hard to understand that not every actor wants to know when fans imagine them banging a guy/girl/animal/best friend/enemy/etc/etc?? Just because some actors are more open with fans doesn't give anyone the right to take advantage of that. Respect and thank them for what they give us, not what we demand of them!
And the Danneel thing. Jesus. I'm used to there being significant other hate in fandom. It happens. But most people know that the odds of them getting with one of these actors and the actor leaving their so is a trillion million to one.
But the vitriol I saw spewed between the fans was bullshit in itself. If fandom were a bar and we all had a couple drinks in us there'd be some broken beer bottles and clumps of hair flying around.
Again, respect. For both the actors and the other fans. Apparently that's a difficult concept today.
All this kind of makes me want to run off to the Sparkly hills of Twilight and hide in RPattz's hair.
And gotta say, I'm kinda fucking terrified of what's going to happen when I'm at the Vancouver con. Both for Misha and Danneel, if she shows up.
